Want to rent out your car? Pay attention to the following points!

Our multi-risk insurance covers you during your rental. However, there are some rules you must follow for it to apply.

You must keep copies of the following documents from the renter and ensure that they meet all of the conditions of our insurance contract:

They must have held a valid driving licence that complies with French legislation for at least 3 years.

Make sure that the renter is over 18 years of age.

If the renter has a licence from outside the European Union (more information), they must present the additional documents shown below:

Other points to consider in order to rent your vehicle with peace of mind:

Extra drivers

They must be added to the agreement using the 'Extra drivers' appendix. They must also comply with the conditions listed above and provide the same photocopies as the main renter.

A joint agreement

The rental agreement, inspections of collection and drop-off and the damage report (in the event of an accident) must be completed and signed by both parties.

Do not hand your vehicle over before the set date and if you need to extend the agreement do it on the OuiCar site via the 'My rentals' section. The rental must be paid in full via our OuiCar site. Charges for extra miles can be paid via OuiCar or between yourselves at the end of the rental.

The vehicle

It must be in good working order, comply with safety rules, have an up-to-date technical inspection and an annual insurance policy. You must have the registration document and it must be in your name.

Remember to report any claim to OuiCar's Customer Service team within a maximum of 5 days from the end of the rental.
